- Fryd has round-stitched, split straps that are attached in both the front and back. The straps have extra length, so you can easily sew them in or out yourself.
- Fryd can also be worn for everyday use without turtle brooches.
- The apron dress is worn for both parties and events in the Viking Age as well the present. It is also very popular to wear on the Norwegian Constitution Day, confirmations, weddings, events and Yule celebrations.
- Can be combined with the Frøya viking linen dress. Note that Frøya viking linen dress and Fryd viking apron dress have different size guides. The dresses must be purchased separately.
- Easy to put on and take off yourself. The dress has pleats in the back, based on the fragments from the famous Køstrup dress found in Denmark, to ensure a perfect fit over the bust.
- The Fryd apron dress is usually worn with historical viking age turtle brooches, beads and brooches which are purchased separately.
- Diamond twill fabric was widely used in the Viking Age and we have finds of this in, among other things, the Oseberg grave. This weaving technique is beautiful up close and makes the fabric softer and more elastic.

Size guide Fryd Apron dress
Choose the size based on your chest measurement. Remember that most people need Fryd in a size smaller than Frøya. The straps can easily be sewn in and out if you want them tighter or looser.
